Has anyone but me stopped to consider the cost for the update for the 165 beds at Moccasin Bend?
I understand the need and importance of having a facility, but at a cost of 1.6 Million per room to renovate just seem to be a little steep to me.
Can I say it another way, over one quarter of a Billion dollars! And with that said, you could take that money and give close to a million dollars to each adult living in Hamilton County. And I dare say none of us have contributed in taxes that amount.
So where does that money come from? Oh that right, it’s those “Emergency” Covid shut your mouth bucks that our government is printing and giving out with no concern of the inflation that we are and will experience due to this artificial influx of money.
For all that agree with that amount, go ahead and write an apology letter to your children and grandchildren for saddling them with an untold amount of debt that somehow makes it back in the politicians back pockets.
