Chattanooga Veterans Benefits Field Office To Have Ribbon Cutting On Friday

Chattanooga Area Veterans Council will have a ribbon cutting ceremony that will open the State of Tennessee Veteran Service Office-Chattanooga Benefits Field Office at 7047 Lee Highway, Suite 101. The ribbon cutting will take place Friday at 3 p.m.

Captain Mickey McCamish, U. S. Navy (Retired), CAVC board of directors, said, "For us area veterans, this is extremely important since gives us another location to apply for our veteran benefits.  In Hamilton County, there are approximately 22,000 veterans that receive just under $170 million in compensation and pensions further, in the nine Tennessee counties that surround Hamilton County, there are an additional almost 20,000 veterans who receive $175 million."
