Retired From Blue Cross Blue Shield After Many Years

Minnie Pearl Tanksley, 72, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, in a local health care facility.

 

She was a 1966 graduate of Howard High School. Minnie retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield after many years of service. She was a member of Faith In Christ Church where she served on the Trustee Board and Mother’s Board.

 

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Tanksley and Essie Clark; sisters, Alberta Tanksley and Viola Tanksley; brother, Robert Tanksley.

 

Survivors include her niece, Deartra Skillern; nephews, Eric Tanksley, Jeffrey Tanksley, and Gregory Moore; great-niece, Alexis Tanksley; great-nephew, Charles Skillern, Jr.; great-great-great-nephew, Keyara Skillern; two dear friends, Eva Rock and Carolyn Gordon.

 

Minnie will lie in state on Thursday, Dec. 30, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

 

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Bishop Robert Sharpe and Bishop Mark Sandilands giving words of comfort.

 

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
