Melba Wade
Melba Ann Wade, 88, of Cleveland, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday March 9, 2021.
She was the daughter of the late Roy R. and Jennie Smith Wade. She was also preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Jean Wade and brother Roy R. Wade Jr. of Henderson, NV.
Melba graduated from Bradley Central High School, class of 1952. She worked several years for Jack’s Kleen Rite and retired after many years of service from Bayer, formerly Dr. Scholls.
She is survived by her sister Evelyn Hicks Ledford; niece Cindy Hicks Bolin (Ken); nephew Edward Nathan Hicks (Rachel) all of Cleveland, TN; nieces Ginnie Rhodes (Ted) of Henderson, NV, Julie Vacca (Dominic) of Las Vegas, NV, and Jeff Wade of Mtn. View, CA; great nieces and nephews: Fletcher, Winston, and Jones Wade Hicks, Eli and Ben Bolin, and niece Harper Hicks all of Cleveland, TN; Candace and Christina Rhodes of Henderson, NV, and Brittany and Stephanie Vacca of Las Vegas, NV.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Garden Plaza of Cleveland, Amedysis Hospice and Staff, and Betty Scoggins for their love and care to Melba.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. in the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16.
A graveside service will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
