James Lucius Conner, 82, of Sale Creek, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at his home.

 

He was of the Church of God faith and was retired from the Hamilton County Department of Education.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucius "Cobb" and Vanella "Nellie" Conner, baby daughter, Angela Kay Conner, brothers, Jimmy Randolph and Clarence Edward Conner, sisters, Virgie A. Parker, Stella M. Johnson, Willie Pauline Argenbright, Marilyn Yvonne Carey and B. Flora Johnson.

 

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Nancy Conner, son, James Randolph "Randy" (Chris) Conner, daughter, Kimberly A. (Glenn) Maye, grandson, Nicholas (Jessica) Maye, three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Zoe and Jason, sisters, Betty Whittle and Katherine Berry and several nieces and nephews

 

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, at 10 a.m. in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
