LeKendre Je’Kyie Taylor was born on November 28, 2000, in Chattanooga, Tennessee to LaKendra J. Taylor and Carlos D. Moore. He passed away April 25, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

He was known by his family and friends as “Dre”. Dre was a 2019 graduate of The McCallie School.  He attended his freshman year of college at Tusculum University in Tusculum, Tennessee.  He transferred to Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tn., where he was sophomore with a major in Photography.  Dre was a student athlete who played football and ran track. While maintaining a full-time college schedule, he was also employed as a manager at Blue Coast Burrito. He loved being a cat dad to his two cats, Breyer and Mayfield.

He leaves to cherish his memories, mother, LaKendra J. Taylor (Quinetrice Bennett and LaKeca Carnes); father, Carlos D. Moore (Titonia Clemons); second mother, Coretta Holmes; twin sister, LaKendrea Taylor; sisters, Tiara Willingham, Ty’mia Palmer; god-sister, BJ Johnson; brothers, CJ Moore, DeLaken Timmons, Cameron Moore, Ja’Mear Bennett,  Kencyre Bonner, and Tristan Jackson, all of Chattanooga; aunts, Tabatha (Aaron) Anderson, LaToya (Kevin) Hughes, of Atlanta, Georgia; Keisha January; uncles, William (Nakisha) Middlebrooks, Shermaine Menifee; godparents, Garvin and Delnita Evans; godmothers, Countess Marshall and JoAnn Walker; best friend, Quindarius “Q” Dunnigan; special friends, Cameron Stewart, Xavier Brooks, Yolanda Dunham and Ty Thomas; a host of cousins and other family and friends.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to McCallie School, Delnita Evans, Quindarius “Q” Dunnigan, Nicole Bridges, Tiffoni Powell, Wells and Julks families, and Blue Coast Burrito.

Public viewing will be held from 2–6 pm Monday, May 10, 2021 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at noon in the funeral home chapel Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Interment: Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
