Mocs' Jonathan Boyd Named CoSIDA All-Academic District 3 First Team

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men’s cross country runner Jonathan Boyd was named to the 2020-21 Academic All- District® 3 First Team, as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

 

Boyd, a rising senior, a 2019-20 All-District selection, becomes the Mocs’ second to earn the honor back-to-back.

He graduated with honors in April with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

 

On the course, Boyd has led the Mocs for each of the last two seasason and earned Southern Conference All-Freshman honors in 2018.

 

In the classroom he carried a 4.0 GPA and was named to the SoCon All-Academic Team, SoCon Honor Roll and is a recipient of the SoCon Commissioner’s Medal for Academics.

 

He will complete his eligibility with the Mocs while attending graduate school in the fall.

The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.
