Be it in the friendly confines of Jim Smiddy Arena or on the road, the Bearettes seem to always find a comfortable feel in whatever hardwood they’re playing on. Travelling to Rhea Co. was no different and produced another win for head coach Jason Reuter’s charges as they overpowered their district foe, 91-25.

Bradley (20-2, 9-0) scored 67 points in the first, usually enough for a complete game victory, while shutting down the Lady Golden Eagles (3-12, 1-6) offense, allowing them only 14 points.
The Bearettes took their foot off the gas in the second half, but still held their opponents to just 11 points in the final 16 minutes.

Hannah Jones led an offense that shot 61 percent for the game, with 21 points on 10 of 12 shooting from the field. Her running mate, Karsee Weber added 12, hitting four of five long-range attempts in just over nine minutes of action, and Harmonie Ware kicked in with 17.

Bradley’s bench, always a contributor, outscored their counterparts by a whopping 44-7. The Bearettes cashed in n fast break points by a margin of 50-4, with 51 points coming off 29 turnovers by Rhea.

Bradley boys 66, Rhea Co. 59: The Bears (13-7, 6-3) completed a sweep of Rhea by knocking off the Golden eagles in the nightcap. Aiden McClary led the effort with 19 points, as teammates Trevor Carpenter and Ramireon Taylor added 12 each.

The hot hand of the night, however, belonged to Rhea’s Kaleb martin as he scorched the nets for 27 points. Gavin Roddy has 11 for the Eagles (5-11, 0-6).

Bradley trailed the Eagles, 36-35, at the half before catching fire in the third period and taking a 52-46 lead as McClary scored 13 of his points in that period. McClary went four of five from the field, as well as from the charity stripe to fuel the Bears’ explosion.
