Howard High School Student Arrested For Having Gun On Campus

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Deputy assigned to Howard High School recovered a loaded handgun from a student in one of the school’s hallways on Tuesday at approximately 11:15 a.m.  

The student was charged with possession of a weapon on school property and transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center. 

Hamilton County Schools officials said, "Appropriate school disciplinary action will be taken."
