Cempa Community Care Announces 3 New Board Members

Cempa Community Care announced 2 new appointments to the Cempa Community Care board of directors and one new addition to the Chattanooga CARES Foundation board of directors, Cempa’s fundraising arm. Each of the directors will help advance the organization’s mission to provide access to compassionate, high-quality, and culturally-sensitive preventive and primary healthcare services.

The new Cempa Community Care board members are:

Eilier Teruel, wealth financial advisor at Merrill Lynch

Danny Waxenberg, senior vice president, Global Financial Planning and Analysis at Unum

The new Chattanooga CARES board member is:

Chad Simmons, marketing specialist and team leader at Local 3 News WRCB

“We are thrilled for the addition of Chad, Eilier and Danny as board members,” said Shannon Stephenson, CEO at Cempa Community Care.
“Each new member brings a diverse mix of experience, knowledge and perspective to our governing boards and we are honored to have their time and talents to ensure our mission is met.”

Officials said, "Led by Board Chairman Robert Morris, Cempa Community Care’s board of directors participates in the development of policy and major decision-making to ensure the organization has the resources that it needs to fulfill its mission. The Chattanooga CARES Foundation board of directors strives to make sure that Cempa is well-positioned financially to successfully operate and grow to meet emerging community needs. Both boards are composed of members who possess significant executive leadership accomplishments in healthcare, business, philanthropy and the nonprofit sector."
