The Alabama Dirt Gang members, the Seawright Bros. JT and "Slammin' Sammy" Sam from Oxford and Rainsville respectively, dominated the weekend's annual "Cabin Fever" Valvoline Iron Man South series event with a battle extraordinaire Saturday.
JT took the lead after polesitter Chattanoogan Booget Brooks would lead lap 1. Brooks would pit mid race, and Sam would inherit second place and dive underneath brother several times, with only two laps counted as the race's official leader.
JT in his "Agcor Steel, Grow Pediatric Therapy, First Bank of Alabama, J&R Excavating, Farm Systems and Houston Project" sponsoed CT525 Super Late Model with help from; Aubrey Pruitt, Clint Vaughn, Chad Key, Donny Walker, Jason and Tallen Williams and Abbey and lil' Remi Seawright would take the $5,000 victory.
He said, "I want to thank my brother Sam especially for keeping my car ready to race. In Victory Lane JT talked about his #38 throwback designed racecar in honor of the late Marvin Ford, who tutored and groomed both brothers in racing for over 10 years of their childhood.
