Officials with the City of Collegedale invite the public to join them at a special presentation on Tuesday, Oct. 10 by Ryan Byford, director of Airport Operations, as he discusses current projects and reveals the vision for the future of the Collegedale Municipal Airport. The presentation begins at 6 p.m. at Chestnut Hall at The Commons, 4950 Swinyar Dr. in Collegedale.
The Collegedale Municipal Airport was recently awarded a $1.28 million grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Economic Development Fund. During the Oct.
10 event, Mr. Byford will present the plan on how the monies from the grant will benefit the airport, in addition to unveiling the expansion plans that are anticipated to create over 40 new jobs and provide additional tax revenue.
“I want the community to feel connected and engaged with their airport,” said Mr. Byford, “and that’s my goal for this event.”
