The Lee University Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Régulo Stabilito, will present its fall concert, “Music Across the Centuries,” on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.

“This is my debut with the Symphony Orchestra, and I am very proud of the work we have been doing,” said Dr. Stabilito. “The orchestra is composed of students, community members, and Lee faculty. It’s special that such a variety of people can unite to make music together.”

The performance will feature a variety pieces, including “Royal Fireworks Music, HWV 351” by George Frideric Handel, “Canto Llano” by Eduardo Marturet, “Symphony” by Franz Schubert, and “Marche Slave” by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

The Symphony Orchestra is an ensemble of select instrumentalists who perform operatic, choral, and other major symphonic works.

Dr. Stabilito has accompanied renowned international soloists and made frequent appearances as a conductor for opera, orchestral, and ballet productions. He is also a permanent guest conductor in the Festival Latinoamericano de Música (Latin American Music Festival) in Caracas. He and his wife founded the Latin-American Music Initiative, an organization that seeks to promote Latin American composers and their works.

"Music Across the Centuries” is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. Livestream viewing will also be available at leeu.live.
