Augusteen Brown
Augusteen Posey Brown, 91, of Dayton, Tennessee, died on Friday, May, 16, 2025, at Small Town Senior Living at Deer Trail.
Survivors include her sons, Andy Goforth (Brenda), Danny Lynn (Heather Moss O'Shields), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Brown was born in Flat Rock, Al., on Aug. 1, 1933, to parents, Walter Blaine and Tennie Bea Gossett Posey.
She was of the Baptist faith and had worked for a period of time as a hostess at Cracker Barrel in East Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ed Brown, son, Sam Goforth, sisters, Patty Allison, Siddie Lewis, Nannie Ruth Holcomb, brothers, Russell, Bonnie, Raymond and Abe Posey.
Funeral services are on Saturday, May 24, at 3 p.m. CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Posey Family Cemetery. Family will receive friends from noon until service time.
