Terry Allen Guyn, 81, of Collegedale, entered Eternity on March 23, 2023. He was born in Louisville, KY on March 6, 1942, to Carl and Isabell Guyn.
Terry was a loving husband to his wife, Jackie, and a devoted stepdad to his stepsons, Kelley, Kevin, and Michael Lane. He also is survived by two brothers, Carl and Richard Guyn, two sisters, Sally Brock and Tula Harrison, four step-grandchildren, Andrew, Megan, and Sarah Lane and Amber Dietz, and one step-great grandchild, Holland Lane, all of whom he loved dearly.
Terry graduated from Hillsboro High School in Nashville and Tennessee Technological University in Cookville, TN. He proudly volunteered for service in the US Army and was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for valor while serving in Vietnam.
Terry loved going to church, playing golf and basketball, singing, and having fun. The world is a little less fun today.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held on Saturday, April 1, at 1:00 pm at Hamilton Memorial Gardens’ Chapel of Devotion. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital are encouraged.
