Baseball Round-up: Wednesday, March 29th

BASEBALL

Lexington (AL) 5, Central 1

The Pounders fell in the opener of their own Classic as Lexington jumped out early and Central just couldn’t find traction.

Central 7, Yorkville Christian (IL) 6

Yorkville’s rally in the top of the seventh fell one run short as the Pounders held on for the win. Keaton Hesson had two hits to lead the Central offense.

Brookville (PA) 9, Signal Mountain 4

Signal Mountain fought hard early in the contest, but the Raiders pulled awa late with seven runs in the final two innings of play. Cash Keene led the Eagles’ offense with a pair of hits.
