Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga has named Ryan Weseloh as its director of development. The Illinois native is excited to relocate to Chattanooga as he and his young family lay down roots in the community.

Mr. Weseloh comes to Habitat after serving as director of development for L’Arche Chicago, a non-profit that builds and supports group homes for individuals with and without intellectual disabilities. Most recently, Mr. Weseloh led the “L’Arche for Life” capital campaign to fund construction for a new ADA accessible home.

The 2017 graduate of Concordia University in Chicago utilizes his skills in designing, coordinating and executing fundraising events; developing and maintaining donor engagement; and, cultivating philanthropic relationships to further organizational mission.

Habitat President and CEO Jens Christensen said, “Ryan brings a fresh approach and generational leadership to Habitat.  We’re excited about the ways he will engage with both existing donors and prospective donors who are new to philanthropy.”

Mr. Weseloh said, “I enjoy serving high impact, mission centered organizations.  Loyalty and hard work come naturally to me and I am excited about the collaboration with Habitat’s team as we maximize our potential for impact through development.”

Mr. Weseloh and his wife are expecting their first child and live in the Lookout Valley community.
