Chattanooga’s First Coworking Space Celebrates 10 Years

  • Wednesday, August 9, 2023

Society of Work has been providing coworking and office space, creating connections and supporting businesses in Chattanooga, for a decade. To mark this occasion, Society of Work invites the Chattanooga community to join in 10th-anniversary celebrations with 10 events throughout August and September.

Since its founding in 2013, Society of Work has provided entrepreneurs, small businesses, nonprofits and remote professionals with a creative workspace to grow their business and build strong connections.

What started on the 13th Floor of the First TN Bank building has now grown to two locations in downtown and northshore Chattanooga. Located at The Edney Innovation Center and Somer Station, Society of Work office space includes over 90 private offices, four open coworking areas, seven conference rooms, mail services, kitchenette spaces, and other shared amenities. Access to these spaces allows members to grow their business within a professional environment without the risk of long term leases or huge upfront costs. Society of Work Community Managers focus on hospitality allowing for members to spend their time focused on their work without distraction.

Lauren Karnes, community manager, said, “We pride ourselves on providing everything our members need to stay focused and have a productive work day. Without the worry of stocking supplies or addressing building maintenance issues, people can do what they do best. We take care of the rest.”

As 10th-anniversary celebrations take place throughout August and September, it will conclude with a Birthday Bash on Sept. 22 from 6-9 p.m. at the Northshore location at 110 Somerville. Learn more about the 10 events here.
