The Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association, Local #820 (CFFA) has endorsed Judge Alex McVeagh in his campaign to become the next judge of Division III of Hamilton County Circuit Court.

Judge McVeagh is running in the contested Hamilton County Republican Primary Election, which will be held on Tuesday, March 5.

The CFFA endorsement of Judge McVeagh follows the recent endorsements of the International Brotherhood of Police Officers, Local #673, retired Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond, and 13 local judges.

“The integrity of our courts is a cornerstone of our society, and the administration of justice equally under the law is important to the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe,” said CFFA President Jack Thompson.

“Judge Alex McVeagh has served our community well as a Judge for nearly seven years, and he has a record of making decision based on the rule of law and the Constitution of the United States instead of outside influences.

“It is our opinion that Judge Alex McVeagh provides that best experience and background for the people of Hamilton County, and the Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association proudly endorses Judge McVeagh to be the next Circuit Court Judge for Hamilton County.”

Currently, the CFFA has more than 225 active members who support charitable organizations, non-profit groups and political candidates that best represent local communities while working to educate and advocate for the men and women who serve and protect Chattanooga residents, their homes and properties.

“It is my honor to receive the Chattanooga Fire Fighters Association’s endorsement in my campaign to be Hamilton County’s next Circuit Court Judge,” said Judge McVeagh. “Our local firefighters put their lives on the line each and every day in service to those in our community, and I am truly humbled to receive their support in this campaign.

“I appreciate the trust that our first responders have placed in me to make difficult decisions based on the rule of law and to administer justice equally and fairly. I am grateful the CFFA believes I have the values and judicial temperament that Hamilton County residents need and expect in our courts.”
