David Leo Bettis, 65, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away at his home on July 13, 2025.

A talented and dedicated car mechanic, Mr. Bettis was well known throughout the Chattanooga area for his work on classic and custom vehicles. He was a beloved fixture at local car shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Hamilton and Lily Catherine Roach Bettis, and his sister, Sue Edwards.

He is survived by his daughter, Crystal Holland; his son, Barnabas Bettis; five grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the car enthusiast community who respected not only his craftsmanship but also his character.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
