Harry “Don” Kilpatrick, 91, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

A devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, Don lived a full and joyful life marked by his generosity, humor, and passion for storytelling.

Don was born on April 28, 1934, in Greenville, S.C. He built a long and successful career in the photography business, where he was known for his eye for detail and dedication to his craft. After retiring from photography, he continued to connect with people in his second career at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, where his warmth and charisma left a lasting impression.

A talented chef, Don was often the first person his children would call for cooking advice. Whether sharing his signature recipes or preparing a meal for family and friends, his love for food brought people together.

Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Juanita “Nita” W. Kilpatrick; daughters, Robin Hess and Risa Ingram; stepsons, Marshall Jackson (wife, Anita) and their sons, Daniel and Alex, and Eugene (Tracy) Jackson, and his son Joshua; several grandchildren and a great-grandson who brought him great pride and joy.

Don will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His gift for storytelling could light up a room, and his presence brought laughter and comfort wherever he went. He was truly one of a kind, and his legacy of love, laughter, and good food will live on through his family and friends.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Reverend Evelyn Harris officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37345, 423 877-3524, lanefh.com.
