Chattanooga Football Club Signs Milo Garvanian

  • Wednesday, January 3, 2024

Chattanooga Football Club (CFC) announced on Wednesday it has signed Milo Garvanian to a one-year deal with a club option for a year extension, pending league and federation approval.

After spending five fruitful seasons with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2018 through 2022, Garvanian was selected 54th overall in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft by CF Montréal.

Ultimately, Garvanian’s professional career began in his own backyard of Albuquerque with New Mexico United in the USL Championship. The versatile defender made eight appearances during the 2023 season.

Garvanian also had a successful spell with the Colorado Rapids’ Development Academy (DA) where he was named in the Best XI for the entire DA in 2017 and team captain in 2018.

“Milo has the abilities that fit our way of playing,” said Head Coach and Sporting Director Rod Underwood. “He brings experiences from the USL Championship, a high-level college and being drafted by Montréal. I am excited to see him with the team.”

At left-back, Garvanian was the total points leader for UNC Chapel Hill during his senior season and helped lead the team to the Final Four of the 2020 NCAA tournament.

“I’m thrilled to be joining a team with such a rich history and so much support behind the club,” said Garvanian. “I look forward to contributing to the legacy and positive culture of CFC.”

Chattanooga FC will compete in MLS NEXT Pro for the first time beginning in 2024. Fans can purchase season tickets for the 2024 season at ChattanoogaFC.com.
