The Collegiate Conference of the South announced the 2024 Volleyball All-Conference teams and yearly award winners on Tuesday evening.
After a dominant year on the court, Hannah Mathis was named Player of the Year and First Team All-CCS. Mathis ranked second in the league in kills, tallying 320 with a .373 hitting percentage which was best in the league. Mathis also led the CCS in total blocks with 111. This is the second year in a row she has been First Team All-CCS.
Also making the cut for First Team All-CCS was Sarah Jennings and Kelsey Carman.
Jennings, a first time All-Conference player, led the CCS in digs with 485 and 4.58 per set. The sophomore also had a team-high 54 service aces. Carman, who was Second Team All-CCS in 2023, totaled 211 kills and 307 digs. The Cleveland, Tennessee native was a consistent threat on both sides of the net all year and posted four double-doubles.
Cali Sandhoff earned Second Team All-CCS honors for her first career All-Conference recognition. The sophomore who saw time at both setter and middle hitter, did a little bit of everything for the Scots. Some of her numbers include 329 assists, 178 kills, 244 digs, 51 total blocks, and a team-high 62 service aces.
Senior Anissa Snyder was Covenant's representative on the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team.
Covenant returns to action tonight in Barnes at 7 p.m. for the CCS Quarterfinals against Piedmont.
