Baker Donelson has elected 16 new shareholders across the Firm, including Craig Penny of the Firm's Chattanooga office.

Mr. Penny represents senior living, long term care, hospitality and commercial lenders, investors and operators in transactions involving finance, development, construction, acquisitions, leasing and corporate ventures. His practice focuses on seniors housing and care, where he advises on financing, acquisitions, dispositions, development and operational matters. Mr. Penny also counsels lenders and investors on commercial and project-based financing, as well as a range of real estate matters, including organizational structuring, strategic planning, due diligence and transaction agreements.

Before joining Baker Donelson, Mr.
Penny served as general counsel for a national developer and operator of senior living and long-term care facilities. In that role, he provided legal guidance on development, construction, financing and operations. He also advised on debt and equity strategies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Penny gained judicial experience as an intern for judges in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia, and the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
