Andy Barry Jones, 69, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on April 23, 2025.
A true Chattanooga original, Andy had the kind of energy and charisma that made everyone feel like a friend. He never met a stranger, and his zest for life made a lasting impression on all who knew him. Andy loved nothing more than riding his bike along the riverwalk—often in route to share a beer with friends. His pride in his cars and 4x4 van were only matched by the joy he found in the simple pleasures of life and the people around him.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, Barry Jones; his mother, Rosemary Knight Jones; and his sister, Grace Jones Ragland. He is survived by his beloved nephew, Wills Ragland, who carries on Andy’s spirit of adventure and kindness.
A memorial visitation will be held to celebrate Andy’s life on Monday, May 12, from 12-2 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andy’s memory to Bike MS, part of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, or to the Andy Jones Memorial Bike Rack Fund, benefitting Chattanooga’s Department of Parks & Outdoors.
Andy’s legacy is one of positivity, connection, and living life on two wheels. He will be deeply missed and joyfully remembered.
