Ted Edward Fugunt

Ted Edward Fugunt, 55, of Chattanooga passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 30., 2025.

Born July 9, 1969, to Theodore and Bonnie Fugunt, Ted was a 1988 graduate of Tyner High School.

He received his HVAC degree from Chattanooga State and opened his own company in 2000 - Ted Fugunt Heating and Air. He worked for many years until his son Blake followed in his footsteps with his own HVAC degree and took over for Ted’s early retirement.

Ted stayed home taking care of TJ daily and loved traveling with his wife, Tina; riding TJ around in his vintage corvette and on the golf cart, even if just around the neighborhood.

Ted was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all including his high school friends, Greg Peters, Virgil Kimbrough, and Tim Spearman that he spoke with almost daily.

Ted will be remembered as a devoted husband for 35 years and a loving dad to Blake and TJ, and Papa to his honorary granddaughter, Isablelle.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Fugunt; and his favorite cousin, Steve Cushing.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tina Fugunt; sons, Blake and TJ Fugunt; parents, Theodore and Bonnie Fugunt; two brothers, Chris (Jeri) Fugunt, Frank (Carrie) Fugunt; nieces and nephews, Jessica Greggory, Allison, Chandler, Sarah, Mckenzie, Frankie, Bailey, Jamison Fugunt, Ciera Fordham, and Makayla Belcher; great nephews and nieces, Charlie, Maggie, Ryder, Grayson, Shepherd, Kingston, Zeplynn, Ember, and Scotlyn.

Services will be held on Sunday, May 4, at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Steve Euler officiating.
