The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary of Chattanooga announces the return of the Flowers of Hope program on Feb. 16.
This program, organized by the Women’s Auxiliary, brings together volunteers to create flower arrangements that are distributed to various locations, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, schools and more.
"The program aims to spread positivity and brighten the days of those in our community who may be in need of encouragement," officials said.
"The Flowers of Hope program is a monthly gathering where volunteers work together to put together vibrant and uplifting flower arrangements. These arrangements serve as a gesture to convey the message, 'Have an awesome day!' The ministry is a tremendous outreach effort, reaching out to those who may benefit from a kind and thoughtful gesture."
Cindy Hindmon, spokesperson for The Salvation Army’s Women Auxiliary in Chattanooga, expressed her enthusiasm for the program, saying, “We believe in the power of small acts of kindness to make a significant impact on the lives of others. The Flowers of Hope program is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and bring joy to those who may be facing challenges.”
The Flowers of Hope program will take place on the following dates:
• Feb. 16;
• March 22;
• April 12;
• May 17;
• June 14;
• July 12;
• Aug. 16;
• Sept. 13; and
• Oct. 18.
