Elliott Davis announces the expansion of its Valuation and Forensic Accounting consulting practice with the addition of Shannon Farr and Brittany Orr to its team. This expansion coincides with the firm's focus on growth in Chattanooga and surrounding areas.
Ms. Farr brings over 30 years of experience in forensic accounting, business valuation, and litigation support services to Elliott Davis. As a certified public accountant since 1993, Ms. Farr has a track record of providing consulting and expert witness services in various areas, including marital dissolution (divorce) and commercial litigation matters. Her expertise in business valuation spans a wide range of industries and has been instrumental in family law and commercial litigation, merger and acquisition transactions, healthcare regulatory settings, financial statement preparation, succession and estate planning, gift tax returns, and shareholder buy-in/buy-out transactions. Ms. Farr's recent national professional leadership role underscores her commitment to excellence in forensic and litigation services.
Ms. Orr brings over five years of specialized experience in litigation support, with a primary focus on family law litigation, to Elliott Davis. Her expertise includes analyses such as separate vs marital property, potential dissipation of assets, determination of income/cash flow available for support, and preparation of reports and exhibits to support expert witness testimony. Ms. Orr's proficiency in forensic accounting, including tracing and financial data analysis, coupled with her ability to manage large volumes of confidential material, enhances the firm's capabilities in delivering comprehensive litigation support services, said officials.
Additionally, Shane Cotriss, a senior consultant within the Chattanooga practice, has passed the exams on his journey to becoming an Accredited Business Valuation provider.
