Collegedale Police Appreciate City Leadership And Celebrate Community Partnership

  • Thursday, July 11, 2024
Officials from the Collegedale Police Department say they are proud acknowledge the invaluable support of the city leadership and commissioners in advancing public safety initiatives and fostering strong community relationships. "Their dedication and vision have played a vital role in developing employee compensation programs and operational policies that prioritize the safety and well-being of our residents, while also recognizing the hard-work of our officers," officials noted.

Chief of Police Jack Sapp expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are fortunate to have dedicated city leaders who are committed to working collaboratively with law enforcement to ensure our community remains a safe and vibrant place to live and work.
Their support has included providing our valued officers with an unmatched salary package, competitive benefits and state-of-the-art technology. This enables us to continue setting the standard by effectively serving our residents and addressing the evolving needs of our city.”

In an effort to better address the needs of our city residents and the surrounding communities, the police department will host various public events throughout the upcoming year as part of its ongoing outreach initiative, such as:

1. Coffee with the Chief: An opportunity for the community to meet and greet with the police chief and his administration team, and discuss issues or concerns that may be important to our citizens.

2. Local Line Ups: Local residents and HOAs will have an opportunity to host, interact and participate with Patrol teams while the officers hold their shift line ups in neighborhoods across the city.

3. National Night Out: An annual community-building event hosted by the police department that promotes police-community partnerships.

“Successful events such as these continue to be a testament to our commitment to community-oriented policing and our ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with the people we serve,” Chief Sapp added. “We work in a great city that values the men and women who place service before self on a daily basis.”

"The Collegedale Police Department encourages all residents to engage and participate in these upcoming events and looks forward to continue working with city leadership and the community to maintain a safer and more connected Collegedale," officials said.
