McCarthy, Murphy And Preslar, PC Changes Name To DisabillityFirm PC

  • Friday, January 3, 2025
McCarthy, Murphy and Preslar, PC, a law firm specializing in Social Security Disability representation, is pleased to announce a company name change and major rebranding initiative. Beginning January 1, the firm adopted a new name: DisabilityFirm PC. The name change reflects the firm’s focus on serving individuals with disabilities and its commitment to providing professional legal representation to clients navigating Social Security Disability claims.

The firm’s decision to rename and rebrand comes after a year of steady growth in 2024 and a continued expansion of its reach across the United States. The firm’s roots go back more than 30 years, and a merger in 2009 produced the iteration of, McCarthy, Murphy and Preslar, P.C. In 2009, most business came from referrals from other law firms or clients found out about a firm by word of mouth. With very few exceptions, prior to 2020, all Social Security court appearances were in person. Today many clients find a firm starting with an internet search, and more than 95% of hearings the firm conducts are by remote secure video links. Mr. Murphy explained, “The McCarthy, Murphy and Preslar reputation has always been strong but it became a difficult set of names for a referral to remember and search for on their phone or computer. DisabilityFirm is a much easier way for clients to find us.”

Mr. Murphy continued: “As the time from the retirements of our other named partners grew, and with the exponential growth of the geographic reach of the firm it made less sense to go by the name of who we were in 2009. Our website has been disabilityfirm.net and our email disabilityfirm.us for many years so the name selection was simple and maintains continuity.”
With a focus on innovation, client-centered service, and a proven track record of success, DisabilityFirm PC is poised for continued growth in 2025 and beyond.
