Automotive Program At SAU Offers Free Vehicle Inspections To Community

  • Monday, April 7, 2025
Students and employees from Southern Adventist University’s automotive program will be providing free vehicle inspections for the community on Sunday, April 13 from 1-4 p.m. in the Samaritan Center parking lot at 9231 Lee Hwy. in Ooltewah. This is the rain date from the originally planned event of this past Sunday.

Technicians will check fluids, belts, hoses and other maintenance items on vehicles. While the team will not be doing any repairs on site, each inspection will be followed by an explanation of recommendations on anything that should be fixed.

Donations to benefit the Samaritan Center are welcomed but not required.

Southern’s automotive program is ranked fourth in the nation by College Choice. This hands-on program was introduced at Southern nearly 30 years ago and has grown to include bachelor’s and associate degrees.
