Soddy United Methodist Church will celebrate 165 years of worship and service to the community of Soddy Daisy on Sunday, May 4 at 11 a.m.
Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett will be the guest speaker, and former ministers will be recognized. Lunch will be served following the service.
Officials said, "During it's long tenure, the church has remained a constant reminder of God's love by serving hundreds of families through it's food bank program, hosting scout troops, serving communion to the local nursing home and participating in many community events.
It remains committed to being a church that honors it's past, but strives to be relevant in today's world."
