10 Lee Track And Field Athletes Qualify For Division II Championships

The NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Committee announced the participants for the 2025 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Championships Tuesday evening. The Lee University Track & Field teams combined to have 10 student-athletes selected to compete.

The Flames had five individuals selected to compete in three different events, while the Lady Flames had five chosen for four events. The 10 selections is the most for Lee University in program history.

Jacob Hatcher and Evan Moore were the 18th and 19th, respectively, selections for the 1500-meter run.
Stephen Clark and Luke Gaddis were chosen to be part of the field in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Clark was the seventh chosen for the event and Gaddis was the 13th. Edimo Ninteretse was the final selection for the 5000-meter run.

The Lady Flames had two members chosen to be in the 1500-meter run. Lily Hare was the 17th added to the field with Estella Clemons the 18th. Ana Patricia Campos had the ninth-best mark among those accepted into the 10000-meter run.

The Lee women also had two selected for field events. Liezl Theron was the 17th entry into the high jump and Brynn Depinet was the 15th selection for the pole vault.

Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching a provisional standard established for each event. For each individual event contested, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition.

The championships will be held May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colorado at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl. Colorado State University Pueblo will serve as the host of the championships.
