St. Andrew’s - Sewanee School is pleased to announce that current history teacher and girls’ varsity soccer coach, Tim Wallace, will take on an expanded role as the new head coach of the girls’ varsity basketball team.

Coach Wallace joined SAS in 2024 and quickly established himself as a dynamic presence on campus, both in the classroom and on the field. His leadership of the girls’ varsity soccer program this past season was marked by competitive excellence and a strong sense of team cohesion, earning praise from students and parents alike.

Prior to his time at SAS, Wallace brought his coaching expertise to Harpeth Hall and Ensworth High School, where he led both soccer and basketball programs.

His versatile coaching background of 30 years and deep understanding of team culture make him an ideal fit to lead the girls’ varsity basketball program.

“Coach Wallance has shown an incredible ability to connect with student-athletes and build programs rooted in integrity, skill development, and teamwork,” said Athletic Director Rob Zeitler. “We’re excited to see him bring that same passion and vision to our basketball team.”

Coach Wallace shared his enthusiasm for the new role:  “It’s an honor to continue growing with these remarkable student-athletes. I’m looking to build on the great work that’s already been done and help our players thrive both on and off the court.”
