A team of five Chattanooga Police Department officers will embark on an approximately 800-mile cycling tour on Monday at 6:30 a.m. from Ross' Landing to honor law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and to support the families they leave behind. The ride is part of the 2025 Law Enforcement United Road to Hope—a national memorial event that brings together officers from across the country, making stops to honor the fallen along the route.
The CPD cyclists will be accompanied by three CPD Motor Unit officers, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and motor units from Tucson, Az.
for the entire route. Virginia State Police will add support once the riders cross the state line. Together with support drivers, they’ll provide safety and logistical assistance to help ensure a smoother ride for all participants and other road users.
The CPD team has raised more than $17,000 in support of Law Enforcement United’s mission and this year’s ride. The team will depart from Chattanooga and cycle to Roanoke, Va, where they will join other LEU riders before continuing on to Washington, D.C. for National Police Week. This particular route is known as one of the most challenging in the LEU program due to both the distance and elevation gain.
The team’s journey will be updated on CPD’s social media channels as information is received.
