Freda Marie Poole Gentry
Freda Marie Poole Gentry, 77, of Hixson, Tennessee, died peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
She was born in Chattanooga, and was the daughter of Arthur Ed Poole and Era Faye Massengill Poole. Freda was a graduate of Rhea Central High School, class of 1966. She lived in Charleston, WV, for a brief time before moving to Port Clinton, OH. While living there, she was a customer service representative for Silgan Plastics. In 2002, she decided to move back home to help with the care of her parents, residing in Graysville, Tn. Freda was a member of Graysville United Methodist Church, Graysville, Tn.
Freda was preceded in death by her loving parents and her beloved sister, Nancy Eloise Poole.
Survivors include her son, Dean (Lisa) Gentry; grandchildren, Zach, Hannah (Austin) Gilkey and Tyler Phillips; great-grandchildren, Ava and Cohen Gilkey; uncle, Eddie (Gaynell) Massengill and several cousins.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the funeral home.
