U.S. Army Veteran Held Long Career In Telecommunications

Smith, Albert L., Jr., of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 73.

Albert was a proud graduate of Red Bank High School, Class of 1969. He went on to earn his degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1982. Albert was honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserve and went on to dedicate over 30 years to a successful career in the telecommunications industry.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lester Smith Sr. and Anna Jo Smith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Smith. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Jimmy Farrar and Mary; sisters-in-law, Shirley Wagoner and Judy Miller; and nephews, Andy Wagoner and Alan Wagoner.

Albert will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and a life well lived. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family, friends, and beloved pets.

A private service will be held in Albert’s memory. He will be laid to rest in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
