Stolen Car Found Abandoned - And Other East Ridge Police Calls

Day Shift July 22: A Squad

25-007708 - 3100 Block Ringgold Rd. - Stolen Vehicle Recovery
Investigators with the Crime Suppression Unit located a stolen Ford Fusion utilizing the LPR systems. CSU followed the vehicle until CPD could intercept the vehicle. It subsequently fled from CPD and was found abandoned behind a business on Shallowford Road. Warrants are pending identification of the suspects.

25-007705 – 4500 BLK Ringgold Road - Burglary of Auto
Police responded on a property report.
A Jeep Wrangler was burglarized, and a pink HP Chromebook was stolen. The owner wanted a report for insurance purposes.

25-007706 - 18300 Interstate 24 WB - Firearm Recovered
Police were called to the westbound exit ramp after a construction crew digging found a Ruger 5.7 pistol. The weapon was reported stolen out of Catoosa County. The firearm was turned into property and evidence.

25-007712 – 1600 BLK East Ridge Avenue - Wellbeing Check

Police were called to this address for a welfare check for a party needing help. She claimed she did not have the physical capabilities to care forherself. HCEMS transported her for medical care and an APS referral was completed.

25-007718 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road - Disorder/Trespass
A man was reported for yelling at an employee and customers. He left the scene but was later found nearby. At the request of store employees, he was issued a trespass warning and informed he would be arrested if he returned. Trespass : 25-000136

Night Shift July 22: C Squad

25-007724 – 5800 BLK Ringgold Road – Lost Property
The caller reported he left a handgun in a U-Haul truck that was recently turned in at this location. The vehicle keys were placed in the overnight drop box, and he could not access them. Police contacted the U-Haul store manager, who responded to the business. With the manager’s assistance, the firearm was recovered, checked for local records, and turned over to the
caller.

25-007725 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity
A couple reported finding suspected illegal drugs in their room at the inn. Police checked the substance and determined it was candy left in the room by a previous tenant. The couple left the hotel and checked into a different lodging.

25-007728 – 1400 BLK Mana Lane – Unknown 911

Police responded to an Unknown 911 that was generated in this area. The Dispatch Center advised that whispering could be heard prior to the call ending. Dispatch called the number twice with no answer and an exact apartment number could not be determined. Police checked the area but did
not locate any signs of distress.

25-007729 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder
Police responded to a disorder in the Emergency Department. A mental health consumer was attempting to break a window so he could leave the hospital. Officers found that he was at the hospital on a psychiatric Certificate of Need (CON) and was not free to go. Police spoke with the patient, and he agreed to take his medication as directed by the ER staff. ERPD remained on
scene, until he relaxed and stopped harassing the staff.

25-007732 – 1400 BLK McBrien Road – Domestic Assault / Arrest
Police responded to an Assault in Progress at this residence. Upon further investigation, Police determined that a man and his brother had a verbal disorder that escalated to physical fight. Police determined that the older sibling was the primary aggressor based on injuries and witness
statements. The suspect was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault.

25-007733 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Assist Other Agency
While investigating a separate incident, an East Ridge Police Officer was approached by a female who stated her adult daughter was being assaulted by her boyfriend. The mother then allowed Police to listen to her phone and an active disorder could be heard on the other side of the call. The
Chattanooga Police Department was notified and units responded to the disorder at an apartment complex in Brainerd. Reference CPD report 25-063244.
