The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce announces the launch of INC Connect, a new pre-startup program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs explore business viability before committing to a physical space.
A collaboration between the Chamber’s INCubator and Proof Incubator, the program offers resources, mentorship and a collaborative community to help single-person ventures and idea-stage founders validate their concepts and prepare for growth.
“INC Connect allows us to meet entrepreneurs where they are, even before they need office space or a storefront,” said Marcherie Savage, director of entrepreneurial development for the INCubator.
“By creating a clear pathway for idea-stage founders, we’re strengthening our ability to support a new class of entrepreneurs who will help drive our region’s economic vitality.”
Officials said, "The program bridges a critical gap in Chattanooga’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, supporting individuals operating independently and testing business feasibility."
Participants gain access to:
• Proof Incubator’s programming and expertise in building sustainable businesses.
• Mentorship and peer networks.
• Resources from the Chamber’s INCubator, the largest business incubator in Tennessee and a nationally recognized leader in supporting small businesses.
Proof Incubator, known for helping food and beverage entrepreneurs bring concepts to market and scale successfully, sees the partnership as a way to expand its mission, officials said.
“Partnering with the Chamber and the INCubator allows us to extend Proof’s impact beyond food and beverage and reach more idea-stage founders across industries,” said Kaleena Goldsworthy, chief operating officer at Proof Incubator. “Together, we’re creating an ecosystem where entrepreneurs have the confidence and support they need to move from concept to company.”
By serving as a soft landing pad for early-stage entrepreneurs, INC Connect provides an entry point into Chattanooga’s entrepreneurial community and serves as a feeder to more advanced programs, including the Chamber’s business incubation services.
