School Board Votes 5-4 To Discontinue Contract With Firm Providing Student Mental Health Services

The County School Board has voted 5-4 to discontinue a longstanding contract with a student mental health provider. In favor of keeping the MOU with Cornerstone were Karitsa Jones, Jackie Thomas, Ben Connor, Felice Hadden and Jill Black. Officials said the contract was at no cost to the county schools, and the firm was reimbursed by TennCare or other providers. Lookouts Drop Third Straight To Shuckers

After winning the first two games of the series against the Biloxi Shuckers the Chattanooga Lookouts have now dropped the next three games, Saturday's score being 11-1. The Shuckers used an eight run sixth inning to shut the door on the Lookouts. Relievers Carson Rudd and Brandon Komar took the brunt of it allowing nine runs in four innings.
