PUBLIC HEARING ON
ADMIN. PROPOSAL TO
AMEND FY26 BUDGET
CITY OF CHATTANOOGA

Pursuant to Chapter 442, Tennessee Public Acts of 1974, the Sunshine Law, and amendments
thereto, the City Council of Chattanooga, Tennessee, will hold a public hearing during their
business meeting on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, during the 3:30 p.m. (local time) business
meeting. The purpose of this hearing is to receive in-person comments from residents
regarding the Administration’s Proposal to budget for Fire & Police raises. Administration’s

For those unable to attend the August 19 hearing in person, written comments will be accepted
via email at council-clerk@chattanooga.gov until the start time of the hearing.
The hearing will take place in the Assembly Room of the John P. Franklin, Sr. City Council
Building, located at 1000 Lindsay Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402. The business meeting and
public hearing are open and accessible to the public.
