Construction Prompts Ramp Closure On Interstate 24 Monday Night

Drivers traveling on I-24 in Hamilton County should be aware of upcoming road construction activities that will temporarily impact traffic. Tonight (Monday), at midnight, and continuing for eight weeks, Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will close the I-24 West entrance ramp from Germantown Road (Exit 183) for construction of noise walls at this location. Sikkema And Komar Lead Lookouts To Series Victory Over Barons

Lookouts starting pitcher T.J. Sikkema and reliever Brandon Komar tossed four innings apiece and led Chattanooga to a 7-1 victory over Birmingham to secure the series and move the Lookouts into second place in the second half standings. Knoxville is a half game ahead in the standings at 6-6 while Chattanooga sits at 5-6. Sikkema walked four and allowed two hits but only one run.
