County School Supt. Justin Robertson told school board members Monday that it proved too costly to move Chattanooga Center for the Arts to the Gateway Building, and he recommends moving forward with use of the downtown facility as a tech school. Dr. Robertson said it was found the cost would be in the range of $83 million to convert the cluster of buildings on the side of Cameron Hill for the performing arts school that is in North Chattanooga on Dallas Road at the old City High. ... more
