RealtyCenter/GMAC has acquired the former Jones-Blair paint company property on Riverfront Parkway for its new headquarters.
The firm, which is the largest local real estate company, is now based on Shallowford Road near Highway 153.
The firm paid $1.2 million for the property, which includes 23,000 square feet of office space. It will be renovated.
The site is near Cameron Hill and just down from Newton Chevrolet and Kelly Cadillac.
The firm expects to be in the new headquarters by spring.
RealtyCenter/GMAC will no longer operate an office on Signal Mountain Road near Baylor School.
The present headquarters on Shallowford Road will be a branch office.
