Edie Johnston, 83, of Chattanooga, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, in a local health care facility.
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie "Johnny" Johnston; son, Mark Johnston; three brothers, Otis Baggett, Robert C. Baggett and Claude Baggett; two sisters, Ruby Turner and Mary Evelyn Brown.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ann Martin and Connie Humphrey, both of Soddy-Daisy; one son, Duke Johnston, of Knoxville; one sister, Semmie Ford Brown, of Chattanooga; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
