Linda Walker Miller
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Walker Miller, whose life radiated kindness, wisdom and unwavering love. Born in Gulfport, Mississippi, on June 1, 1943, to John and Voncile Walker, Linda grew up in a home where warmth and devotion were the foundation—and she carried those values beautifully throughout her life.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and a proud member of Fellowship Baptist Church in East Ridge. Her faith was a constant source of strength and grace, and her love for her family ran deep, shaping generations with her steady presence and nurturing spirit.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, James F. Miller; her dear son, James Eric Miller; her brother, Charles Walker; and her sisters, Virginia Morgan and Helen Gornik. Their memories live on in every story told and every tradition passed down, lovingly woven into the fabric of Linda’s life and legacy.
Linda is survived by her children: Kim Holland (Bill), John Miller (Melissa), and her daughter-in-law Stacy Miller. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Vic Stallings (RiShay), Lindy Stallings (Jarrod), and Kristin Miller. She also shared a lifelong bond with her brother Stanley Walker (Diann) and sister Judy Nixson (Grady), and leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to her as Ninny.
Visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 4 from 4-7 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will take place Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 10 a.m., led by Pastor Chris Peponis, with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens East.
