Dave Roever, a scarred U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, Brown Water Black Beret, will talk of his triumph over tragedy at Bayside Baptist Church on April 30.

The "Honor Our Heroes" services will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m. at the church at 6100 Highway 58, Harrison.

Mr. Roever was severely burned when a grenade exploded in his hand. But due to his faith in God and the prayers of his faithful wife, he underwent 14 surgeries and came back with a story that will bless your heart, church officials said.

During this special service, the church will honor veterans.

"If you have served in any branch of the service, we want to recognize you and honor your service for keeping America a free nation," it was stated.

For more information, call the church office at 344-8327.
