Edward Joe Cunningham, 57, of Lookout Valley, died on Monday, Sept. 25, 2006.
He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was a member of Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene. He was a truck driver for many years, was an avid fisherman and lived for his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Cunningham; sister, Judy Cunningham; and half brother, Gene Cunningham.
He is survived by his loving wife of more than 34 years, Sylvia Cunningham; two sons and daughter-in-law, Danny Cunningham, David and Tracie Cunningham; daughter and son-in-law, Christina and Billy Blake; brother, Johnny Cunningham; two half brothers, Wayne and Bobby Cunningham, all of Chattanooga; two sisters, Sarah Gamble and Annette Shannon, both of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Tyler and Eric Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, at Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Preston Brown and the Rev. Don Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, West, in Tiftonia.
The family will begin receiving friends after 3 p.m. Tuesday, all day Wednesday, and prior to leaving for the service Thursday at the funeral home.
