LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Lookout Mountain resident and former Girls Preparatory School swimmer Ann McKenzie Aiken earned her best career finishes Saturday and brought home a pair of top eight ribbons at the National Senior Olympics Swimming competition here.
She placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:35.12), missing a bronze medal by .32 of a second. Aiken also placed sixth in the 200 free (2:43.07).
These are both personal bests as she had two sevenths (100 and 200 breast) and an eighth (50 breast) at the 2005 Senior Olympics in Pittsburgh, Pa.
On Sunday, Aiken competes in the 100 freestyle.
