The annual Signal Crest United Methodist Christmas party for clients of Signal Mountain Social Services will be held on Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the church.
The program will begin with a devotional in the sanctuary. Then the children will go to the fellowship hall to enjoy crafts, pizza and time to talk to Santa and get their picture made with him. Meanwhile, the adults will stay upstairs, have time for fellowship and refreshments and pick up a package of gifts for their child.
Names for participants are provided by Signal Mountain Social Services. The gifts will be clothing purchased for each child by a Signal Crest family, based on sizes, colors and preferences given by the family of the individual child.
"It takes a lot of work but it's a lot of fun," said Sharon Dorough, who is in charge of the project.
